Quaternary UTM System uses the same quaternary trail method as QTS but defines its level 0 grid according to the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) projection, combined with the Military Grid Reference System (MGRS). It also generates codes from a single point and a specified scale level, with the code representing the area that the point lies in.

How To Use: Click any location on the map or enter the latitude & longitude to find the GeoGnomo address.

Note: QUTMS is currently in experimental phase. It doesn't work for the UTM Exception zones which are covered by the following ranges of latitude and longitude:

  • UTM Zone:00Y, 00Z (all coordinates with latitude value more than (+)84 degrees.
  • UTM Zone:00A, 00B (all coordinates with latitude value less than (-)80 degrees.
  • UTM Zone:31X,33X,35X,37X (all coordinates with latitude value more than (+)72 degrees and longitude value between 0 to (+)42 degrees.
  • UTM Zone:31V,32V (all coordinates with latitude value between (+)56 to (+)64 degrees and longitude value between 0 to (+)12 degrees.
